The plan I was on was overpriced. Customer support isn't really there and have hung up on calls after waiting an hour, on more than a dozen occasions. Changed providers early and paid a termination fee after being advised that Waikato residents were experiencing issues with the service due to an 'on-going problem', but no compensation would be provided for the duration of this problem (Which they had no idea how long it would last), but customers 'may' get something later. May offer perks if you move to the gamer section.
Gigabit is cheaper if you're in Dunedin.
Customer service is severely lacking.
Overpriced internet in some instances.
Don't particularly care much for the customer if there are issues on their end.

Was with myrepublic for 3 year 1st doing a 1 year then a 2 year contract can't complain I got the full speed on offer to me with no problems and am happy to recommend them to everyone. I only changed as I was able to get a better deal from stuff fibre thanks to broadbandcompare
No hassle service speed was great. Loved being able to leave a message on Facebook instead of ringing. Though ringing was faster. And great support when leaving will defiantly look at when it's time for a new contract. ...read more

Pretty good experience all round, only problem that we had was the switch over to fibre but that got sorted pretty quickly so no stress. A+ ISP, definitely not leaving because i was dissatisfied at all just wanting a change/better deals.

We never got proper fibre speeds with them, Vdsl seemed to be the same as fibre and to make matters worse in the last couple of months of our contract it seemed like our internet would slow down towards the end of a billing cycle.
Easy to deal with initially
On going support - once the guy who signed me up had my signature he didn't want to know me.

Managing to get good download rates (~920 down) and price seems quite reasonable for their high-end gamer plans. Any of the techs from MyRep I've spoken to seemed quite helpful when it came to their upgraded D-Link router. Only downside I've really seen with my own account is their payment options are quite limited as they only do debit/credit card and not bank deposit.
Fast speed for Ultra Range plans if you have good hardware
The support staff I've spoken with seem to have good knowledge levels.
Require on-time payment from debit/credit card.

2x 24 month unlimited gamer connections at our address
The support tech's are good guys, are realy frendly and helpful, cheep if you were to recive 100% or even 50% of your service
Loss of connection (fiber and VOP) every day on at lest one of the connections if not both, 23months have been through 5 new router 3 new ONTs calming it's us and not my republic, now they are blaming Northpower who can ...read more

I have been without a land line for seven days. They don't get back to me despite promising to do so. I have been on hold for over two hours three times since I have been trying to contact them. When I do get through, they tell me "I" have to sort out the phone problem with my previous ISP. The previous ISP states My Republic can sort it out directly with Chorus.
Fast and cheeper.
You better hope you dont have any problems... They are THE WORST ISP for support. (And I have dealt with... IGrin, IHUG, Xtra, Slingshot, Vodafone, Freenet, Paradise to name a few!)

Support is definitely not good untrained staff
I have at times had good speeds and downloads 1but connection dropping out far to many times in a day
Data throttling slowing download speeds so it takes 4+ hours to download a 400mb file so much for (UFB) Utra Fast Broardband

I've been stuck with these guys on a contract and the experience has been very, very poor. Connection constantly drops (up to 40 times a day according the connection logs.They say isn't their fault ( they blame Chorus). That may be true, but it doesn't excuse the execrable support from this company. Chorus, on the other hand, have been very responsive and helpful. I was going to say price but, really, they're no cheaper or faster than anyone else now. There are no Pros at all
Terrible, terrible support. If you don't have any issues you may be OK, but if you do it will be a nightmare for you. Also, if you need a PTR record for your domain they try to charge you $20 a month for it!!!
